CrossFit New Beginning has been operating in Castle Hill, Sydney since March 2012. Our fantastic training facilities have been specifically designed and set up to help you achieve your health, fitness and wellbeing goals. With the help of our highly skilled and qualified coaches, you can start your New Beginning today!

Our Facility

Our Castle Hill facility is decked out in high performance equipment from a 30m rig, 30m astro turf and sprint track, 5 weightlifting platforms, climbing ropes, strongman equipment and much more. Not only is our facility top of the line, but our specifically designed programs (Fitness, General Physical Preparedness and Competition) allow us to remove the monotony associated with the same old workouts, day in and day out and keep it interesting so you WANT to keep coming!

CFNB Programs


An evolution of the FITNESS program, CFNB BODY will include a balanced regime of agility training, mobility work, isolation movements and weight training. The BODY programming is designed for participants of all experience levels and provides a structured, comprehensive and customised plan to get you leaner and stronger.


Sticking to the core principles of CrossFit and continuing to provide participants with the skills to support General Physical Preparedness (GPP). The progression from BODY to the CFNB BUILD program will incorporate a vast range of strength, gymnastic, power, endurance, agility, balance, stamina, flexibility, co-ordination and accuracy building exercises so participants experience a well rounded growth in physical performance. A large focus on skill development and challenging new movements will be included in the programming each week.


An advanced program designed for experienced CrossFitters who have great movement mechanics. The COMPETITION program requires a greater time commitment, understanding of training principles and responsibility. A specific set of pre-qualification standards must be achieved to be included in the competition program training squad. The standards are in place to sure all participants can safely complete the higher volume of training involved with the COMPETITION programming.

Matt Baiteri CFNB

Matt Baitieri - Director and Head Coach

Sport has always been a huge part Matt's life. When he was younger he suffered two knee ACL ruptures. As a consequence of these injuries, he decided to dedicate his life to sports performance and rehabilitation of injuries. In 2009, Matt became a personal trainer. After several years of working at various gyms, gaining valuable experience, he decided to start CrossFit New Beginning. When Matt's not at the gym, he can usually be found on a golf course somewhere!

Jimmy Mann CFNB

Jimmy Mann - Head Weightlifting Coach

After completing a Bachelor of Management in Sport and Exercise at UTS, Jimmy was introduced to CrossFit while working as a trainer at C2K and playing AFL for the East Coast Eagles. After taking up CrossFit and competing in various events including a Regionals Team, Jimmy found his interest moved to Olympic Weightlifting. After starting his own gym in Castle Hill under Locus Strength & Conditioning, Jimmy began competing in Weightlifting leading to a 77kg NSW State Championship and the chance to compete at AWF Nationals in Brisbane. Jimmy enjoys keeping fit but loves the challenge and simplicity of Olympic Weightlifting and sharing this with others.

Nolan Cody CFNB

Nolan Cody - Head Coach

Nolan has a diverse and extensive education in exercise performance, strength and conditioning that has been developed over 10 years of industry experience. He has competed and trained at National and State levels in athletics, ice hockey and swimming since the age of 13 and incorporates this vast depth of hands on experience into his coaching style. Nolan is a student of the OPEX coaches certification program and continues to expand his knowledge in all areas of physical performance. If Nolan isn't coaching a class he will be in the gym training himself, or doing joining the other members for a workout… or eating, two of his favourite activities!

Nolan's qualifications include:

  • OPEX Programming, Assessment and Nutrition certifications
  • Certificate III and IV in Business sales and Team Management
  • Certificate III and IV in Fitness

Christian Millgate CFNB

Christian Millgate - Coach

Coming from an athletics background, CrossFit felt like something Christian wanted to try due to the high intensity and the competitiveness. Christian's sister, Tara, hassled Christian every day for 6 months to come and try it, but it wasn't until Christian watched the CrossFit Games on ESPN and saw the kinds of things the athletes were able to do, that he decided he had to give CrossFit a go.

Christian's qualifications:

  • Australian Weightlifting Federation Level 1 Coach

Emily Metcalf CFNB

Emily Metcalf - Coach

Emily has always been involved in team sports, playing cricket, basketball, volleyball, netball and touch football, at a school rep level. Emily has been playing netball for over 8 years, and enjoys playing at a competitive level. When Emily left school, she was searching for a team/group environment where she could be pushed further. That's when she found CrossFit.

Emily's qualifications:

  • AUSTSWIM Accredited Swim Teacher
  • Senior First Aid and Resuscitation Cert
  • Currently studying Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science

Rebecca Akdemir CFNB

Bec Akdemir - CrossFit Coach

Sport has played a huge role in Bec's life. During high school, Bec was a dancer and also played soccer. After high school, Bec needed a new challenge and a friend of hers introduced her to CrossFit. It was love at first sight.

Vanessa Kerr CFNB

Vanessa Kerr - Weightlifting Coach

Sport has always been a big part of Vanessa's life. Competing in athletics and netball at a national and state level since the age of 12. She was introduced to CrossFit and Weightlifting later on in life when she joined Locus Strength and Conditioning. She now competes in 69kg division for NSW and Qualified for the Masters Nationals in Hobart 2016. She loves the challenge of weightlifting and is passionate to teach others.

Fabian Garcia CFNB

Fabian Garcia - CrossFit Coach

Fabian started his fitness career in Dubai over 7 years ago. He's always been an active person from a young age taking part and representing his school or district in various sports. His desire to keep active has always been a priority for him. CrossFit has always been of interest to him, he enjoys the variety and camaraderie the sport brings. A desire to bring up his twin girls closer to family and friends has brought him back home to Sydney. Fabian will always be there to help and encourage you to get the work done.

Fabians's qualifications:

  • Cert III and IV in Fitness
  • ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning
  • First Aid and Resuscitation Certificate
